The chalk line is a tool of garden or building.
The chalk line of the gardener is composed of two sticks of acacia (Rot) if possible, cut points some and connected by a cord generally out of cotton (extra flexible) or flexible nylon a length of approximately ten meters, which once tended is used to represent a straight line temporarily, to allow the execution of a work or the construction of an element of work like tracing straight lines for sowings or the plantations. The chalk line is very frequently manufactured by the gardener.
The chalk line of the mason is a cotton cord which is tended on generally metal stakes. It is used to represent a straight line temporarily and to visualize a vertical plan to allow the construction of a hardcore wall.
