Lawn
In ecology, a lawn is a natural vegetation made up of wild plant species of herbaceous low height, mostly grasses.
The lawns are mainly in the mountains at an altitude higher than that of the forest floor, or in the immediate vicinity of the sea, just above the rocks of the beach or cliffs . In both cases the other, they naturally maintain because they are not in competition with woody species that face difficulties in pushing aloft or under the direct influence of wind and salt.
In gardening, a lawn is an area planted with grass and maintained regularly (mowing, taxi) to limit the height of the grass and keep it as dense as possible.
